If you plan your trip at the right time you can get very cheap hotel rooms simply because there are so many empty rooms at the time.

The Las Vegas hotels aren’t just competing with each other for guests. Most of the gamblers in Las Vegas are visitors from out of town. These people can go anywhere they want on vacation and with more and more places now allowing gambling they have a lot more choices. The result is that Las Vegas hotels have to offer cheap rates in order to get people to come to the city to gamble. Hotel Deals in Las Vegas are getting better and better, and it's all because of competition. They are not only competing with the other hotels they are also competing with other cities.

It is important to keep in mind that just because Las Vegas hotels offer cheap rates to attract gamblers it doesn’t mean that you have to gamble to take advantage of the cheap rates. There are lots of other reasons to go to Vegas besides gambling. If you don’t want to gamble you are under no obligation to do so. They obviously want you to gamble and that is why they offered you the cheap rate but whether you do or not is entirely up to you, so don’t feel like you have to.
